i am not sure what "home" is anymore! when we are in ecuador i refer to the states as "home" but when we are here i am referring to ecuador as "home"! anyway we have been here ("home") in the states for almost 2 months now - since july 4th.
we visited NYC, spent some time with friends in NJ, spent a month in VT, had pioneer school, went to the district convention, spent a lot of days working on getting paperwork we need for our visa in ecuador, and now we will head to the beach next week for about 5 days. then we go back to ecuador ("home") on september 4th.
i will be posting some photos from our time here in upcoming posts. it's been so great to see our family and friends and be emotionally refreshed from them. also to get spiritually revived with pioneer school, the convention, meetings in english, etc.
looking forward to heading back to ecuador soon but with mixed feelings and sadness as well because we really do miss the people here... and seeing them all makes it that much harder to leave.

ReplyDeleteTwo months sure goes by fast. I can relate that when you see people and hang out with them you miss them even more than you did when you were thousands of miles away.
PS: I would be fine with "home" meaning Long Branch :)
so glad I got to see you guys for a half a day! I miss you, but I guess home for you travellers is only where you lay your head.
ReplyDeleteWhere ever I lay my hat..that's my home (great song redone by Paul Young...lived by you two. It was great seeing you even for just a bit...hopefully more time next time. (yes, I know I'm just getting round to posting!) I do follow the blog tho. :)
