kids

so our little apartment building has 4 apartments in it. next door to us is a local family with 3 little kids. the dad speaks a bit of english, and he is a judge. the mom and the kids don’t speak any english at all, although that doesn’t seem to stop the little boy from talking to us. no matter how many times we say “no comprendo” or “yo hablo solo un poquito espagnol” they just keep on talking! upstairs is a witness family from oregon with 3 kids. they are awesome, they left earlier this week and were here for just about a month. it was so awesome having them live above us because we get to chat with them every day and share experiences from the day. their son, logan, is 6, and their daughter elesia is 8. they hang out with us every now and then, and they came over last sunday and brought us a bowl of fresh fruit to share with us (“sharing is caring” logan likes to say!). the video below is of logan and elesia playing in our front yard with the 2 neighbor kids…. it was just so adorable how they can’t communicate with one another at all but they had no problem playing together. we will miss them!
