On Monday after our assembly weekend, Andra's parents flew into a stormy San Jose. We drove out of the rain and into the mountains north of the city. The area of Santa Elena and Monteverde are known for the lush cloud forests and spotting rare birds (though we didn't see any) and monkeys (didn't see any of them either). Checked into our mountain lodge (pictures to come) and rested up for the day.
