mom and dad's visit - la mirage

one night we went out to la mirage, (an AMAZING hotel and restaurant in cotacachi) to celebrate (late) mom and dad's 40th anniversary.  dinner is a 3 course meal that begins with an amuse bouche (thank you top chef, now i know what that is) which comes in a music box.  and there is a fish (peter) waiting on your table as your dining companion.  a few photos below, i don't remember all of our dishes but mom and i had an incredible risotto in a puff pastry crust as our main meal, and dad had a chicken dish; and for dessert i had passion fruit crepes and josh had a lavender cake thing (soooo good, we ended up trading halfway through).
