some things we saw in field service

a little update on some things we've seen in field service in our last month here:

one of the days in puriscal, with robin and britt (pictured) we stumbled across this pretty river!

another cool river.... we found this one after following a road for about 8km when we were doing mapping down in the dominical area. mapping is awesome, we literaly are drawing maps of territory that's never been worked for the congregation. on this day we found this road, which had virtually nothing on it, and we also found another road that was full of gringos!

this next day may have been one of my favorites! we were working right in town, on a road that leads to manuel antonio, and we stumbled across titi monkeys (aka spider monkeys) and howler monkeys! we also saw a "jesus christ lizard" (not sure if it has a more proper name), so known because it appears to walk on water because it rises up on its hind legs and runs super fast. this one was a giant, i had only seen tiny ones before. we also found a huge snake, which was dead (thank goodness) it was disgusting. no photo of that one!

the 3 photos above are the titi monkeys. josh's next job is going to be with national geographic :)

this photo below is a howler, they're not nearly as large as they sound!

here's our huge lizard:

and here is a beautiful beach that was at the end of the road we worked!

our service group that day (me,brandon, robin and daniel):
